Regulatory Watch – UK Edition – May / June 2020
As we start to move away from lockdown and consider what the return to work looks like, many are contemplating continuing the flexibility that ‘working from home’ arrangements provided their teams. For some business functions, we envisage greater flexibility as firms move forward beyond COVID-19. In this issue we explore some of the impacts working from home may have on the evolution of firms’ cultures, including ensuring good conduct outcomes continue to be achieved.
We continue to be excited by the regulatory (and market) developments in respect of sustainable finance. 2020 might well emerge as the year our actions started to make a difference, enabling the COP21 pledges to be achieved. We explore the EU initiatives around investor disclosures on ESG integration, and some of the challenges that lie ahead.
Finally, some of you may have noticed this edition covers May and June. Given our commitment to the weekly COVID-19 newsletter we also publish, we have decided to temporarily move RegWatch to a bi-monthly publication.
If you have any comments, suggestions, or would like further details on any of the features included in this month’s edition, please do not hesitate to contact me or the team.
