Regulatory Watch – APAC Edition – April 2020

It is our great pleasure to present the latest publication of Aurexia’s Asia Pacific Regulatory Watch newsletter. ​

In the current context, our challenges have grown. We will be covering the escalating severity of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak globally, and its impact on cybersecurity within financial institutions. There is no doubt that we will see more changes occurring where many cyber criminals are actively exploiting it for their own personal gain. ​

Technological innovation is also affecting the financial sector and the economy as the digital revolution gathers pace. Existing information-technology infrastructure is now being put under severe pressure, while increasingly innovative digital solutions continue to be sought, not least in the banking sector. And among the sector’s most transformative digital solutions is cloud computing. Additionally, with the ever-changing macroeconomic environment, there is now an increased focused on sustainable finance, where evolving stakeholder needs have given rise to business pressures.​

To further prepare ourselves for the new opportunities ahead, we have also launched our first global report, “Horizon 2020,” in addition to our quarterly regulatory watch newsletter. Developed with strong support and input from our Aurexia institute team in Europe and Asia, it gives you a deep insight into the regulatory and digital challenges of the financial industry for the year 2020.​
